BONFIRE
This signature event serves to "kick off" WinterFest on Friday night. The Homer Fire Department builds a spectacular warming fire with a VERY large pile of old wooden pallets (donated from Paul Bunyan Wood Products) behind the fire station and the American Legion. It's a great reason to get outdoors no matter the temperature.

FIREWORKS
We light up the eastern sky with a full-blown professional fireworks display just as the bonfire is waning. Fireworks are launched from atop Carroway Hill and yes, they may cause traffic to stop on I-81!
